Congratulations to our Papa Murphy's Award Winners: Ms. Swanson nominated Cole Russell. Cole is a diligent and respectful student. He shows up every day ready to learn and actively seeks feedback on his work. Cole has worked hard to improve his writing in our Dual Credit English course. He works well with his peers and is a class leader in behavior and engagement. It is a privilege to have Cole in class, and I would love for him to be recognized for the work he has done so far this semester! Mrs. Smith nominated Brandy Jackson & Maddison Clifton. Brandy and Maddison have stepped up to the plate to lead the Publications class. Both were selected as our editor-in-chiefs this year. They have been leading the class and making a lot of decisions for the yearbook. For instance, who gets what pages, and who will be editors. They have also selected different layouts and led discussions on how to choose an effective theme. I cannot wait to see how they put their heads together to create the 2018-2019 yearbook.

Where were you in 1963? PCHS’ main heating and cooling system was installed in 1963. This system is over 55 years old. Proceeds from the Tazewell County Sales Tax Referendum would improve the reliability of the heating and cooling throughout the campus.
